On 29 October 2014, Hospitality Management second year students presented an evening filled with Africa-themed decor, food and ambiance for their annual Event Management module.

Guests were greeted with traditional African Sorghum Beer on arrival, which was quite an experience for our “less experienced” taste-buds, accompanied by Mopane-worm crostinis.

Menu items included

Starter:

Mnazi Na Supu Kwa Bizari Bofulo

*African Curried Coconut Soup with Cornmeal Bread*

Main Course:

Mwanakondo Kwa Tabbouleh Na Komamanga Na Korosho Saladi

*African Spiced Lamb with Tabbouleh and Pomegranate and Pine Nut Salsa and Butternut Puree*

Dessert:

Mkate Wa Maji

*Swahili Crepes with Custard*
