German-born Thomas Hinsche, the Vice Principal of The Capital Hotel School, is also lecturing: Rooms Division. In addition he is responsible for the day to day running of the practical component of CHS. Thomas offers to our students a wealth of knowledge with his extensive operational experience in the hospitality industry.
He did his hotel apprenticeship with the Accor Hotel Group in Germany and completed his degree in Hotel Management at the Hotel School in Berlin, Germany. Thomas, who worked in several top ranked hotels, including The Berkeley Hotel in England (Leading Hotel of the World), became a permanent resident of South Africa in 1989.
He is a member of the international Chaîne de Rotisseurs, which has its origins in the 13th century in France, and is dedicated to the love of good food and wine and the camaraderie of the table.
