Sincerity and a sense of humour are the qualities she seeks in people. – Ronel Bezuidenhout
Ronel matriculated at Alberton Hoërskool. She studied at RAU and UNISA, initially towards a degree in graduated in Communication. Subsequently she completed a Diploma in Business Management at TUKS and also did several Marketing and Human Relations short courses. She started her career as Translator/PRO for the Dental Association of SA; she was Promotions Executive at Rooi Rose; Marketing Manager Overvaal/Aventura Resorts; followed by a stint as Sales Executive at Karos Hotels before starting her own events company, RONPRO. Finally Ronel decided to pursue her real passion and to launch The Capital Hotel School and Training Academy in 2001.
Ronel chaired the Travel Trade Sports and Social Committee, as well as SKAL International. She is currently Bailli of the Pretoria Bailliage of Châine des Rôtisseurs, an international society devoted to choice dining and the camaraderie of the table.
She enjoys travelling, reading, good company, wine and food. Her dogs, Sonny the gentle giant (Pit Bull x Ridgeback) and Piaf the adorable terrorist (Staffordshire terrier) are spoilt rotten and have the run of the house.
Never sombre, yet serious about issues close to her heart, Ronel’s wittiness (quite avant-garde from time to time!) and wonderful sense of humour make her a unique, well respected and loved individual.
