Review: Mediterranean Pop-Up Restaurant event

To think that the quality presented to the guests at Friday night’s Mediterranean comes from first year Capital Hotel School students will blow any patron, food connoisseur or food reviewer away. Themed with fresh fruit centre pieces, gorgeous décor accessories that highlighted the blueness of the Mediterranean sea and background music that transported you to the beach that framed it, Friday’s Pop-Up restaurant left very little to the Mediterranean inspired imagination.

The students really went out of their way to showcase the best of Mediterranean cuisine from citrus infused chicken and beautiful tomato and basil palette cleanser through to roasted lamb kebabs on a bed of spicy couscous and the most wonderful fruit infused parfait. Students, who are currently studying anything and everything ‘in the kitchen’, did an outstanding job outside the kitchen serving the tables, pairing the gorgeous Van Loveren wines and presenting each of the scrumptious courses.

Keep a look out for the next Capital Hotel School Pop-Up restaurant for your chance to experience an incredible presentation of delicious food presented by a passionate group of CHS Professional Cookery, Pastry and Hospitality Management students.
