Professional Cookery Qualification

The Capital Hotel School and Training Academy is one of South Africa’s leading training institutions for Professional Cookery. The course is developed to provide students with fundamental grounding in all disciplines relating to the production of top quality cuisine and the ability to manage a kitchen, The Capital Hotel School and Training Academy offers unparalleled opportunities to acquire both theoretical knowledge and carefully monitored practical training.

Only aspirant chefs who wish to excel in their chosen career, who are committed, dynamic and have a desire to produce food of the highest standard and quality should apply.

The minimum entry age is 17 and applicants should be in possession of a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or recognised equivalent. Applicants are to submit copies of any relevant results and/or certificates, as well as a copy of their CV and identity document. Final selection is based on a personal interview with the student and his/her parents/guardian and the results of an aptitude testing process.

Only a limited number of students will be accepted to ensure that each one receives the personal attention and practical experience required in this dynamic industry.
