“We see the world not as it is, but as we are.”  – Steven R Coveydsh05415-0082

After her matriculation year in 2010, Pinky launched into the challenging field of studying Environmental Sciences qualification at the Tshwane University of Technology.  After completion of the qualification, she embarked on a Gap Year with a performing arts ministry, 13th Floor.  She toured the country with the performing arts ministry in 2014 allowing her the opportunity to interact with different students in schools from various backgrounds.

Pinky strongly believes in education, and its ability to transform lives.  Her conviction in the success of educated youth led her to become a part of the Women Empowerment Programme for Environmental Advocacy, also known as Ms Earth South Africa, in 2015.  Here she was among the lucky few chosen to be a regional ambassador which were responsible for visiting and educating schools about environmental issues within the communities.

She feels a strong connection to nature and all its sounds, the birds, rain, footsteps on the grass, the buzzing of bees, and the fresh breeze of the wind. She never misses a sunset. She continued this path by working as a Junior Environmental Scientist at EON Consulting from early 2015 to mid July 2016. She now advocates for the environment by gracefully reminding the world to be kind to nature.

Pink lives with her eyes wide open to see goodness in life. She draws inspiration from movies, books, and research. She is a writer of stories and poetry, and really believes in the power of words.
