The Capital Hotel School and Training Academy has joined forces with Potato/Aartappel SA to bring you the first “Spud Master” competition.

We will be launching the potato-inspired competition to all current CHS students.  Entries for this competition close on Friday, 24 June 2016.

The cook-off will take place over two days (14 & 15 July 2016), where entrants will showcase their creations and stand a chance to win their share of R6000 in prize money.

Do you have what it takes to win the title of “Spud Master 2016”?

Develop a unique recipe (with ingredient list, servings per dish, preparation method and cooking time) where Potato is the “Spud Master”.

-as a Meal-in-One, or

-as a Perfect Starch Replacement and Nutritious dish component.

Entries will be showcased on Facebook and social media platforms.

The winner will be crowned the “Spud Master” winner of 2016; together with a feature on the CHS website.

All participants in the final cook-off will receive certificates of participation.

Entries to be submitted to Chef Alicia Giliomee (chef2@capitalhotelshool.co.za) before Friday, 24 June 2016.
