A Grade 12 or similar qualification is essential.

  • Computer skills, including a basic working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets, as well as verbal and written proficiency in the English language are pre-requisites.
  • Computer competency (MS Word and MS Excel) is a pre-requisite. CHS offers an out-sourced course to obtain certification for applicants who have no formal training. A pass in Computer Studies on the Grade 12 certificate, or a separate certificate of competence are both accepted. If the applicant does not have any of these, a competency test will be done at CHS.

Grade 12 pupils are required to submit their intermediate results. All applicants must submit a Curriculum Vitae (CV) and a certified copy of their Identification Document (ID) or similar document with their application form.

Upon receipt of your application form, we will contact you to make an appointment with you and your parents/guardians at our campus for an interview and completion of a Thomas International Personal Profile Analysis.

A non-refundable administration fee is payable at the personal interview, which includes the applicant’s screening and evaluation procedures.

You will receive feedback within five working days and a summary of your Personal Profile Analyses will be attached. If your application is successful, the administration department will send you written confirmation. Once your deposit is paid, you will receive a student number, valid for the duration of your studies.

The initial registration fee is due when the school accepts the student for the course. Payment of the initial registration fee will secure a space for the student.  The registration fee is non-refundable, and the school retains the right, in the event of the student deciding not to attend, to retain it.

Once the applicant is accepted, an Uniform and Equipment deposit will be charged relating to the selected field of study which is payable together with the initial registration fee.

The second year’s registration fee is payable when the student registers for the final year. The balance of the annual course fee is payable in cash prior to the commencement date of the specific year of study.

Terms and conditions of enrolment and other information documents are sent to applicants as from November, to be completed and signed at registration in January each year. Students and their parents/guardians will be given a date and time for their registration appointment with a CHS staff member.
