A wonderful launch of “Big 5” cooking & dining events with Chef Forti

The Capital Hotel School and Training Academy hosted Chef Fortunato Mazzone and 8 amateur-chefs in a “cooking class” with a difference.

The BIG 5 Dinner Events kicked off on 16 September 2014 with 8 eager amateur-chefs learning how to create Chef Fortunato’s signature dishes (as you would have it in his Italian restaurant, Ritrovo).

We welcomed Mandy Dewing, from Saronsberg Cellar, for the Food and Wine pairing.

Menu consisted of:
A welcome drink of Saronsberg “Provenance Earth in Motion” (a blend of Chenin Blanc/Sauvignon Blanc 2014)
